Health & Safety Policy

Construction Labour Hire Limited is committed to providing a working enviornment that is safe and healthy for all its staff and contractors, whether on a company site or a clients site.

Construction Labour Hire Management will work with CLH clients to ensure a safe and healthy working environment is maintained for all Construction Labout Hire Limited contractors and employees.

CLH Management Responsibilities:

  • Take all practical steps to comply with all relevant health and safety legislation, standards and codes of practice.
  • Ensure an appropriate site health and safety monitoring program is in place, and carry out regular inspections of all CLH and clients sites to ensure a safe working environment is maintained for all Construction Labour Hire Limited contractors and employees.
  • Promote a safe and healthy working environment on client sites through regular site visits.
  • Ensure all Construction Labour Hire Limited contractors and employees are properly inducted onto all sites before commencing working duties on that site.
  • Ensure that all Construction Labour Hire Limited contractors and employees are suitable for the work duties that they are asked to undertake by CLH clients.
  • Encourage all Construction Labour Hire Limited contractors and employees to undertake Site Safe Training and obtain a recognised Site Safe Passport.
  • Encourage all Construction Labour Hire Limited contractors and employees to identify and report any suspected unsafe working practices on site to Construction Labour Hire Limited Management as soon as possible.
  • Provide all Construction Labour Hire Limited contractors and employees with the necessary support relating to all health and safety issues, and take all practical steps to assist where we can in matters relating to rehabilitation and returning to work.

 CLH Contractors & Employees Responsibilities:

  • Comply with Construction Labour Hire Limited Health And Safety Policy and with any CLH client Health And Safety Policy when on any site.
  • Ensure that proper site inductions have taken place before commencing any working duties on any site.
  • Be actively involved in hazzard identification on sites and listen to any instructions that may be given to them relating to Health and Safety on site.
  • Adopt all safe and best practice methods for ensuring Health and Safety on site.
  • Use common sense and or ask Management if unsure or uncertain about any working practice on any site.
  • Report any incidents to Construction Labour Hire Management.
  • Participate in rehabilitation programs.
